If ordering the AliExpress version, please provide what version your console (VA0, VA1, VA2, VA4, or VA5) to help make the overall process quicker. If you don’t have the tools to do so, no worries, it will just add a little bit of extra time.

If ordering a screen through me, depending on the option, please allow one (1) to five (5) weeks for the installation to be done since parts are not kept on hand.

Replace your old SEGA Game Gear screen with an IPS screen! Not only is the screen more bright and vibrant, but it also allows for better viewing angles. You may either provide your own screen or I can source one for you from HERE‍ (Note that I do not have these screens readily available, so allow two (2) to four (4) weeks for the screen to be installed).

A full console capacitor replacement is also very much recommended to have done if you have not already had your capacitors replaced since they are notorious for leaking all over the board.

Send your Game Gear in to have all of its capacitors replaced for the main board, sound board, and power board. Kyocera surface mount Tantalum capacitors will be used for both the main board and sound board, while Panasonic through-hole aluminum capacitors will be used for the power board. Kyocera and Panasonic both being reputable brands that make high quality parts.
