GameCube Controller DIY
This mod is absolutely required if wanting to reduce the travel distance of your controller’s triggers and play Ultimate. The reason being that Ultimate doesn’t check for the digital press, only a certain threshold in the analogue signal of the triggers. Putting in Trigger Plugs won’t suffice since the analogue value won’t reach/exceed the necessary threshold. That’s where this mod comes in, you get a digital feeling input (like A, B, X, Y, etc.) while giving the game the analogue value it’s looking for.
Timeline is as follows:
6/18/2025: Pre-Orders Open and necessary parts are ordered
6/30/2025: Pre-Orders Close
7/1/2025 - 7/7/2025: Parts Arrive and Boards Begin Production
7/21/2025 - 8/7/2025: Boards Arrive and ALL Brainless orders will begin shipping, ALL conversions will be notified to send in their controller, and pre-assembled boards will begin assembly
9/7/2025: All Orders have been fulfilled

This is a snapback module with 6 levels of capacitance (the values do add together) per axis as well as heartbeat with 4 levels of resistance per axis (values do not add, only have one switch flipped per axis at a time).
Quick to install, no wires necessary, no 3D printed parts required. Just slot, slide, and solder.
A tester board for GCC Stick Potentiometers, GCC Trigger Potentiometers, and GCC Z Buttons. It utilizes a similar circuit to what an OEM GCC uses so all readings will be 1:1 representations from what you’ll get if the parts were installed in an OEM GCC. All the potentiometers and Z buttons will be hot swappable due to the use of “hot swap” sockets (Mill-Max 7305).
NOTE: Stick Boxes, Potentiometers, Z Switches, and GCC Cable are not included. However, the CNT-DOL chip, Q3, and Mill-Max 7305 Sockets will come pre-installed!
SNES GCC IS AN UPCYCLING PROJECT THAT TAKES BROKEN OR SCRAP GAMECUBE CONTROLLER BOARDS AND PUTS THEM INTO A SNES CONTROLLER FORM FACTOR.
These aftermarket springs require a much lighter press than OEM springs. Reduces the necessary force for a full press by roughly 33%, making each trigger press a lot quicker and allowing for more accurate trigger positioning.
What does a Trigger Plug do?
A Trigger Plug reduces the travel distance required to complete a full press.
What’s the difference between a Short Plug and a Tall Plug?
Short Plug: Allows you do a full light shield when lightly depressed and a hard shield when fully depressed. Both actions are much quicker to perform due to tactile queues and reduced travel distance.
Tall Plug: Cuts out any analogue inputs for the triggers resulting in only being able to hard shield. Reduces the travel distance almost completely aside from the distance required for a digital button press (like A, B, X, Y, etc.).

Customize your GameCube Controller further by installing a custom paracorded GameCube Controller cord.
OEM GameCube Controller Buttons (ABXY and Z) sanded down to be nice and smooth to help your fingers glide smoothly across them.
