XStation replaces the original disc drive and allows you to play backups of your original games.
If you want order an XStation and send it in with the PlayStation you’re wanting modded (your PS1 must have a PU-8 or PU-18 revision motherboard, see what revision you have HERE or you can open your console and see what’s printed on the board) you can find those here:

If you’re not supplying your own parts, expect up to a 4 week lead time.
**IMPORTANT**
If a console is sent and is not compatible with the XStation, the service fee will be refunded, the return shipping cost will not be refunded, however.
